So with this slow portion of the summer about to end promptly on August 1st I thought I’d share the many things I have me eye on.

Red Wings

On August 5th Mike Modano is supposed to give us his answer to the question: Will Mo play in Motown this season? After that we’ll get Helm and Abdelkader resigned solidifying the Wings roster for the upcoming season! Well, there may be another move or 2 to create a bit more cap space but for the most part then the Wings will be ready!

Movies/TV

The Expendables comes out August 13th!
I still need to see Inception! I have heard great things and it looks stellar!
SHARK WEEK begins on August 1st!
X Games 16! It started July 29th but goes til August 1st. I wanted to include it since it’s sooo much fun to watch these people do amazing things!
Dexter Season 4 on DVD August 17th! This is easily my favorite TV series at the moment.

Music

LINKIN PARK! Their new single, The Catalyst, releases August 2nd and their new album comes out September 14th! This is my favorite band, their music, their art style, I get a TON of inspiration from them.

Real Life

And finally real life, my wife and I share an August 1st birthday (as well as my wife’s twin sister). Family and friends are heading out for some food, drinks, and fun! Our niece will be born anytime now too! CAMPING, we also have a camping trip planned for the end of the summer. I love camping, being outdoors and going ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. That always seems to help refresh my batteries.

Ok, the first trailer was cool but it was nothing I wanted to go crazy over. I don’t think I even posted it. But this trailer gives a better preview of the flick that has peaked my interest a bit more

Coming from the director of 300 & The Watchmen makes even more excited for this flick. I love those movies! Watching the trailer it is actually hard to follow but theres spaceships, fights, guns, monsters, Raiden, explosions, dragons, swords, space, missles, etc, woohoo!

The Medal of Honor videogame series released a trailer of their upcoming game that featured LP’s single “The Catalyst” that debuts on August 2nd! I gotta say, the song sounds awesome & has made me more excited for September when their new album comes out.

I’m usually not a big pre-order guy but the exclusives are tempting. It’s nice to see a band cater to their fans with an album release through so many outlets. I gotta be honest, the Deluxe Fan Edition Box Set intriguing, the art book & DVD’s have me giving it numerous looks. I just have no idea what I would do with the vinyls, haha.
