I know…it’s freakin’ PINK!

FYI the “Cloud” refers to a place out in internet land where you can store your files so they are accessable from an internet connection. Basically this pertains to a way to access your files from any computer with an internet connection and even mobile phones.

What this means is a way to access your pics, vids, audio files from any PC and share them with friends & family.

What does this take to do it? Usually it takes paying for a service to give you X GB of storage and they store your files on a server and via their website or software you can access the files. A popular example of this is Dropbox (2GB free but anything after that is a monthly fee.

How is Pogoplug different? You store the files your self on an external USB hard drive or flash drive and plug it into the Pogoplug hardware you have to buy ($130) and then voila! Access all your files via any internet connected computer. So theres no service, installation, or monthly fees just buy the hardware and your off!

Read the awesome review over at OhGizmo!.com.

Check out more info and features at their website @ Pogoplug.com.

Now for the good part, why do I want this? I’m imagining being able to access all my vids and MP3s via a simple phone app so I do not have to juggle what takes up precious space on my phone’s storage. If I ever buy this I’ll write a lil review or let you know what I think but it sounds great (in my opinion).
